We were invited down to SOAS last Friday to host a discussion on social outrage and thresholds of offence. It is not uncommon to hear the phrase “PC culture gone mad” in today’s society and with the recent H&M scandal, people of colour once again came under scrutiny for their reaction to what many viewed as a trivial incident. In the panel discussion below Samuel Boyd, Femi Nylander, Vince Baidoo and Chantelle Lewis discuss whether or not anti-racist outrage is being exploited by corporations like H&M.
